About the Course
3-4 days
1 Theory Session: Learn more about the historical background and evolution of underwater dance performance, underwater outfits and makeup, details of arranging performances and productions. Learn advanced underwater tricks, performance and competition requirements and skills.
1 Studio Session: Practicing advanced underwater dancing techniques on land, further strengthening and brushing up of your personal mersona in body expression. Choreograph your own performance with music and incubate good chemistry with your partner/ team.
4 Pool Sessions: Learn more dynamic and static tricks, choreography performance, safety and rescue. You will demonstrate what you have learned in course and choreograph your own performance at the end.
Pre-requisite:
MFI 1 Certificate Holder
12 years old or above (guardian consent required for students under age 18)
What's next?
• Master intermediate underwater dance tricks and techniques
• Group choreography & synchronisation
• Performance and competition track: opportunity to join national mermaid team
• Show preparation / craft workshops: costume, makeup and accessories
