M1 - Mermaid Advanced

2 days (10-12 hours)

1 Theory Session: Prepare your mind for a whole new concept of mermaiding. Learn about the history of mermaids and benefits of being a mermaid, and essential knowledge about equipment, safety, breath-hold, buoyancy control, water entrance skills, underwater postures & tricks and all secrets of being a mermaid.

1 Studio Session: Prepare your body on land before mermaiding underwater. Learn how to adjust and stretch your body, find your own mersona and demonstrate a better body language and expression, for better underwater performance.

3 Pool Sessions: It is time to take what you have learned to the water. Learn how to swim like a mermaid professionally and practice underwater safety and rescue skills. Other advanced exercises also include: buoyancy control, hair and facial control, body language and expression, such as static and dynamic skills, giving you the grace of a mermaid in the water.

2 Extra Pool Practice Session: This is designed to strengthen the foundation of mermaiding techique learnt in the whole M1 course. This will advance your technique and get you well prepared for further mermaid development

Pre-requisites:

• 12 years old or above (guardian consent required for students under age 18)

• Students below age 12 will be joining Junior Mermaid
